FAQs

  • No, we don’t do commissions. Because we’re very much a part-time passion, we unfortunately don’t have the time to take on bigger projects like this. Plus, our designs are done in our style, which may not be what you envisaged - and we’d never want to disappoint you, because our vision ended up being different to yours!

  • Sorry, but we don’t sell the blocks/stamps. The amount of work that goes into them means that it’s not economical to sell the stamps.

  • Yes we do! It does take a little time to do, so we can only do it if you’re not in a rush. We don’t keep a huge stock of blank t-shirts on hand, so these often need to be ordered in - and then once they have been printed, they take a week to dry. See our custom order page for more information.

  • No we don’t. We love wildlife, and that’s the passion that drives our business - so our designs are exclusively around animals. So we don’t make designs of plants, mythical creatures, etc.

  • If it involves an existing design(s) that we have - just contact us! Often our customers are our best source of inspiration - and we get some wonderful ideas from requests that we have received from customers. We may not be able to do it - but we can certainly discuss and see if it’s possible.

  • No, sorry! We don’t offer digital downloads of our designs.

  • We hope this never happens - and certainly, we go to great lengths to please our customers! But - if you aren’t 100% happy with your purchase - please please get in touch! Depending on the problem, we can often exchange or send out another item. Certainly - we will work with you to find a solution to the problem!

  • No it’s not! These are two really different processes. Block printing involves the use of a block, where the design has been carved into it - and it’s inked up and printed. While screen printing involves pushing ink through a screen, where a stencil blocks ink going through certain parts of the screen.

This does mean the printed effect is quite different to screen printing. Screen printing often results in a thick layer of ink being transferred, whereas often with block printing there is less ink transferred and while the design is still clear and crisp, it’s usually less bold than screen printing.

Check out our Our process page for more information about how we create and print our designs.

  • This is something we are constantly working on - and coming up with ways to reduce our waste and impact on the world!

We currently use our sewing offcuts to stuff our christmas decorations with. We also recycle reject t-shirts (either where we’re not totally happy with the print, or where the t-shirt was faulty from the begining) into yarn, and use the yarn for wrapping parcels and for our bunting!

  • We use a fabric ink, which means all our textile items are machine washable. BUT - it must be a COLD wash in order to maximise the life of your item. Hot washing will ruin it :-(

It is preferable to line-dry our t-shirts and other hand-printed textiles, although we actually tumble dry ours and they still last for a long time!

  • Oh, believe us - we really want to! And we were selling internationally pre-COVID, and loved all the places around the world our products would end up! But sadly COVID has made shipping internationally more complicated, uncertain, expensive and slow!! So until this becomes a bit more reliable and cheaper, we’re staying within NZ for now.

If you desperately would like to order from us, but are located overseas - do get in touch, and we can discuss options.
